The Jamboree Creates Hard West Coast Action
Starting out at 7:30 A.M., I knew I was going to be in for a full day. Little did I know it would be a record breaking heat that almost put yours truly out for the count! On my way down to the show I got news of registration being SOLD OUT! Once I got there I understood why, with over flow still in the parking lot, Hidden Valley Park in Irvine, California showed promising things to come for this event coverage. As I walked in and saw the grounds I thought I would only be shooting about 250-300 vehicles set in all stances, little did I know it would be well over 400+ rides set to show it all off. Being a one-day show I knew it was going to be a busy day, so I made my way to the front of things and worked my way back, slowly but surely. About half way through I heard the first round of the Bikini Contest start (cars must wait, time for T&A), so I made my way to the stage. I was able to get on stage last show by way of a friend, but this time I had no inside link and had to wiggle my way through the crowd as I had no press pass. Great things happen though when you look like you know what you're doing, I made it on the stage and was pleased to get some awesome shots and even more pleased to see Nikki Zeno was in on this one, for those that don't know she's an Import Tuner Cover Girl, also gracing plenty other mags.
