13th Annual Spring Fling...presented by Vital Signs
Florida is always a great way to kick off the show season and what better place to do it than at Panama City Beach, FL during spring break. It gives you alot more to do after the show is over than just motel partys. The strip is always packed out with loud crazy spring breakers mixed together with custom ride owners. It makes for a pretty interesting weekend. Spring Fling is in it's 13th year now and it shows every time we go to this show. The showfield is packed out with the hottest rides that Florida and the surrounding states have to offer. And the presenters of the show, Vital Signs Car and Truck Club, always have alot more lined up throughout the weekend to entertain everyone while they are there. They offer a Battle of the Bands which keeps the stage busy all day Saturday. Sunday brings out the cash for the ladies to win by getting on stage for the famous Spring Fling Bikini Contest. Check out the coverage on this one because they always pull Florida's finest hotties out for this stage show. Not only was the show off the hook as it always is, but we debuted our newest little project that we have been working on...DropJaw Nation. What we are trying to do with this is take the cameras to some of the events that we go to throughout the year and film the stuff that we at DropJaw always see while we are on the road all year. And this was a great place to debut it at because there is always some interesting that happens at Spring Fling. The only downfall to the whole weekend was Mike's back started bothering him once he got down there and by the time Friday hit, he was pretty much bedridden with pain shooting from the middle of his back down to his knee. It was so bad that we had to take him to the hospital on Friday night to see what they could do for him. To our disbelief, all the did was give him a prescription and send him on his way. No pill(s) to hold him over or nothing. This was a guy that had to sit in a wheel chair because he couldnt stand because his back hurt so bad. So we go and get the pills and of course, they dont do shit for the pain. So, as they say, the show must go on and he had to come out to the showfield on Saturday and do the commentary that was needed for the tv show. He was being taken around by one of our golf carts and would only get off to do the take and then get right back on. If you saw him out there on Saturday just know that he was in some of the worst pain that can be imagined...he just had to cover it up. Even after all that, the weekend ended up being a great time with some of those dirty south people that we typically dont get to see that often. That is changing this year though because we are gonna be frequenting the south alot more so we'll be seeing you guys around. Mad props to the crew from Vital Signs for giving us all an awesome event to hit every year.
