Camp-N-Drag
Waveland, IN

After leaving out from the Van Nats, we had Sunday night through Thursday morning to kill while waiting to get into Camp-N-Drag so we ended up staying at some random exit at I think its called America's Best Value Motel or something like that. Trust me, its not the best value...I would have to say Motel 6 is the best value for the money but unfortunately they were booked. It was an interesting stay if I may say so myself. The funniest thing was when we tried to tell the housekeepers that we didnt want service, they told us to tell the front desk that we had gotten it anyway so they could get payed for the cleaning the room. I mean dayum....is everyone scandelous everywhere?!?! So we leave out Thursday morning headed to Waveland, IN where Camp-N-Drag is being held. This campground has a really cool layout and has road running all through it. Its the perfect setup for this show and I can see why its so popular. We set up in the showfield area but with the backside of the booth and our camping area somewhat near the cruise lanes. We learned Thursday night that the cruisin' and hanging out last pretty much all night, every night. This is the awesome atmosphere that DropJaw loves cause it gives a totally different feel to the weekend by offering everyone to spend 3 or 4 days together without leaving to go to motels. Plus this place was huge so everyone could spread out and have their own private space if needed. The show on Saturday was huge and I was told by Bill that it was the largest so far. The showfield kept me busy all day Saturday and I'm glad that most everyone left their rides there throughout the day so that I could get a chance to shoot them all. There was a whole lot of representation all the way from local clubs to worldwide clubs...they were all out in force. I would have to say though, the club that seemed to be making the largest impact and kept the party live till every early morning was No Regrets. We could hear their party going on the whole night nonstop and they also had a lot of badass rides reppin'. As you will see from the coverage there were a few other clubs that had massive amounts of rides there as well. There was some great scenery that people were camping and cruising in so it made for some great shots (even without my regular camera). Ballistic did a great job as host club to Camp-N-Drag and Bill & RJ did and have done a great job of making this an absolutely awesome weekend for everyone. In 5 short years they have made this show one of the most talked about shows that I hear about all year....I would say in the Top 5 to say the least. I am honored to have finally been a part of this already legendary event. These are the kind of shows that keep the scene fresh and interesting for us all that have been around for years and for the newcomers that have just been introduced to the scene. Be lookin' out for this one next year if you missed it...you won't wanna do that again!!!
