Dr. CRANKENSTEIN Subwoofers use an extremely rigid, yet light polymer cone. The Surround is a Pleated Rubber Composite that ensures complete control and accuracy without linear distortion that troubles so many conventional surrounds found in other brands of subwoofers. The Basket/Frame is Die Cast Aluminum Construction for incredible Strength and Durability and incorporates Gold Push Terminals that accept up to 8ga. speaker wire. Heat is reduced by creating a Flow Through Chamber of Air that pushes air out of the back of the speaker and from the sides of the voice coil at the same time. This creates a push/pull system of air movement that keeps the Hand Wound voice coils cooler. Their High Efficiency allows them to yield greater sound volume with less power. They produce extreme levels of sound in very small sealed enclosures but perform even louder in ported enclosures.
