This is a little section where we are going to tell everyone what our
hopes and dreams are for Drop Jaw's future. We just want to show you guys what
we see when we see Drop Jaw. We see this as our future for you guys and for our
life long commitment to the company. We feel like we have built a name that is
around for the long haul and this is to show you what the long haul is! |
-DVD's If you only could understand how bad, and for how long we have wanted this to happen!! We are trying to put something together this year for Freak Show and offer a DVD strictly for that show. We are also doing a five year DVD for Freak Show that will include footage from the past five years. (if you have footage from any Freak Show that you would be willing to contribute, please email us at mike@dropjawmag.com) We are trying to start a line of DVD's that will include our shows (The Big Show, Highway Invasion Tour, Winter Cruize Tour and Freak Show) and there will also be DVD's offered that will be from shows all over the country. Remember, we are keepin it real here, so the price will not be what it usually cost for a DVD. |
-Drop Jaw
Customs This is going to be the first of many things to come for Drop Jaw. We WILL open this shop up in January of 2006 and it looks like we will be doing work in Sharpsburg, NC. (in between Rocky Mt. and Wilson on 301) We will be teaming up with the infamous AirGrafixxx for the ultimate in car customizing. We will be offering anything you need that is custom to your ride. We can lift up your 4 x 4 and body drop your Honda Civic. Whatever you want done, we can do it. Feel confident when you drop your vehicle off to Drop Jaw Customs. We have been involved heavily into the show scene for over 13 years and we have experience building cars for at least 10 of that, each! We have the experience, the knowledge and the professionalism to make your dream a reality. | -Profiles
and networking Drop Jaw together. . . Profiles - this should be together pretty soon. This is going to be a section within Drop Jaw that you will be able to upload pictures of yourself, your ride or whatever, get your own e-mail address @dropjawmag.com, and do it for free! We are trying to create a place where custom car owners can go and get a look at other peoples rides, and communicate with people of the same interest, through Drop Jaw. This will include chat rooms, classifieds sections where you will be able to sell your parts/ride/whatever and much more. It is going to take time to build the database up to form club directories, car type searches and all of that stuff, so just grow with us on this. We will also be moving our Newzwire over to our server to keep all the riff raff emails out of the list. Like I said, hopefully with a lot of help from Carolina Entertainment, we will have this up soon. Networking - this is something that will take some time. This is probably a complicated mess to some of you, but maybe I can give you the 'jist' of it here. What we want with this is for everyone that comes to our shows, buys Sic Pix from us, comes to the site, buys our t-shirts, or whatever it might be to support Drop Jaw, we want to be able to know who you are. You will one day be able to come up to our show and hand us your membership card at the gate and we will swipe it and print off your registration sheet with your info already on it. Anytime you come to the booth and buy a shirt or a picture, or come to Drop Jaw Customs, or order on-line, or in anyway pay us for anything, you would use this "membership card" and it would give you discounts on everything we offer, according to your level of support. You support us more, we give you more of a discount. This is something that we are really interested in doing, but it is going to take some time on this one, I am sure! |
-Paperback magazine You guys had to know that this would be on the list! We have tried this as most of you know, and we didn't make it. We know exactly why we didn't make it and that is money. We don't want to have a "regular" publication, we want something that is Drop Jaw and has that Drop Jaw feel when they pick it up. How about crammin six months worth of show coverage into a paperback magazine, with editorials, girl features and special sections for upcoming shows and everything that Drop Jaw is. How about lets charge, say $5? Less than any other mag on the stands and the only way you could get it would be through real show people. People like us, not on the stands. We want to send it out to all the shops and all the vendors and sell it through the site and on the road. Do it twice a year like a bi annual yearbook. We would have special features in the book from our own events and we could expand it into something bigger if we wanted to go that route. This is something that we would have to have an advertiser that would want to go "ALL IN" or we could try to find a few. We are not advertising salesmen and that is why this isn't already done. E-Commerce site This is something that is going to take us a lot of time and we are going to need a lot of help on it. I think, with the right people's cooperation, we could build one of the strongest markets for E-commerce in this industry. I know there is a lot of competition out there too so we would have to get the best partners and manufacturers willing to get in on this opportunity, but I think it is very possible. We could run all of this in junction with Drop Jaw Customs and do the mail order right out of the warehouse. Big opportunities with the right people helping. . . |
