OLD SCHOOLIN' YOU
I thought this would be a cool section in the magazine for us “Old Schoolers” in the scene.  The biggest thing about this section is that I want OLD stories from your car show experiences, your car club moments, or just some really crazy stuff that you think people would enjoy reading.  You don’t have to send in any text at all, just pictures if you prefer.  Give me an idea of what time we are working with (ex.  Early 90’s, late 90’s, early 00’s, etc) and an idea of what is going on in the picture.

This is just to give you a story from my past to get this started.  This story begins when I was 16 years old, 1992, when I had my first car.  My first car was an ’84 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais, and it was hott shit!! A two door, rear wheel drive Cutlass with the center console and shifter on the floor; I loved this car!!  I was so broke that I took all the factory wheels off and modified them to get a logo in Animated Attractions.  (The rule was you had to have modified wheels to get a logo)  After taking all the wheels off the car and taping the tires up so they wouldn’t get paint on them, I took a trip to the local Advance Auto, bought some color match paint and I had modified wheels to get my logo.  The same paint I bought for this was used on the inside of my car, as a ‘splatter’ paint method, to get that interior modification I needed.  After some engine ‘splatter’ paint and a torch to the coils, I was ready for that logo and was the proudest member Animated had ever seen.

I hope you guys can relate to my stories that will be featured in this section, and hopefully we will have many stories to go through to make it in the magazine for this section.  For all the newbies out there, consider yourself schooled!!

Are you a true old schooler??  If so, email your story and pictures to dropjawmagazine@aol.com and the best stories will make it.
