Final Destination Once Again Reigned Supreme
This is DropJaw's largest event that we hold throughout the entire year. The funny thing is, it is held in the dead of winter in the freezin' ass cold. The Final Destination for the WCT, held in Myrtle Beach, SC has always proved to get better every year and this year was no different. For those of you who dont know, this is a week long event that starts on Monday and ends the following Sunday with cruizes going on each day. We start out at the Happy Holiday motel and cruize up and down the strip and then branch off to which ever location we are going to that day. This year our Saturday event was changed to Nascar Cafe and a small show was added to the roster. It ended up being even bigger than before and the Nascar Cafe staff were great and really welcomed us and made us feel at home. I have to give much thanx to everyone that attended in helping us keep the burnouts from happening because that was a huge deal with the new location. It really proved that a DopJaw crowd can be civil when they pull together...lol. The show ended up being a huge success with us having to cut off vehicle registration at 125 rides. We werent prepared to judge even that many rides but the DropJaw crew ended up pulling it off. There were atleast 600-700 rides that were present throughout Saturday, spilling over into the overflow parking lot behind the Cafe. We will be working hard to make sure that next year we offer more classes, trophies and space for the Saturday show and I really want to be able to have a burnout pit, as this is a traditional thing that happens in Myrtle every year.
